Harkcon is proud to announce its winning team effort with Cubic Applications, Inc. to provide technical training solutions for DTRA initiatives. Harkcon has been supporting a variety of DTRA projects since 2013 and is excited to continue its efforts. The following is a press release released by Cubic:

Cubic Applications, Inc., San Diego, California, was awarded a maximum $500,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for J3/7 chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) exercise, training, capability assessment and capacity development support services. This contract provides for support services to DTRA's Building Partnerships Divisions and functions in the daily performance and execution of the Building Partnership mission. Harkcon has been awarded two task orders under the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with ABS Consulting. BSEE works to promote safety, protect the environment, and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement in a variety of areas including safety management systems and personnel training requirements. Harkcon, Inc. provides customized job aids and training materials to enable BSEE to meet their objectives. The subcontractor services comprise of the attending BSEE Initiated Offshore Drill, sourcing control consultations, constructing ICS job aids, and assisting BSEE with a certification program to increase safety of the personnel who will be conducting work for BSEE on the Outer Continental Shelf, as well as uncovering shortcomings, developments, and ideas for the work at hand.

Harkcon, Inc. supports the Department of Energy’s Emergency Operations Training Academy as the prime contractor and has been instrumental in moving the Academy to the forefront of the Department’s efforts to standardize emergency operations and radiological and nuclear detection training. Over the first two years of our five-year contract, Harkcon increased the Academy’s training development productivity by over 200% from the previous contractor, turning the Academy into the Department’s training provider of choice. As a result, Harkcon has received an Exceptional Contractor Performance Assessment Report System (CPARS) evaluation for our efforts over the past two years. How did Harkcon do it? Through a commitment to transforming the way the Academy conducts business, with a focus on improving outdated processes.
