Organizational Needs Assessments
To meet the fast pace of change in today's global environment, your world of work must grow and evolve to keep pace with those changes. Decisions need to be made on how to best meet these new and changing threats and opportunities, and those decisions should be made based real data that will tell you the most efficient and effective use of your resources.
Harkcon uses our W3 model at the organizational level, coupled with our Mainstay™ software analysis tool, to help you quickly answer the question, "How can I achieve my business goals more effectively"?
Organizational Needs Assessments focus on:
- Identifying desired outcomes based on capstone documents such as mission, vision, and strategic goals
- Comparing desired outcomes to the current state to determine gaps at the organization, work unit, and/or individual levels
- Identifying root causes for each gap
- Identifying potential solution sets for addressing those root causes
We start by first looking at your mission, vision, and values, as well as your strategic and business goals so that we can gain an understanding of where you are and where you want to be. If you don't have them identified yet, we help you create a mission, vision and goals for the future and a detailed action plan for meeting each of the goals.
Using Mainstay™, we then conduct an in-depth analysis of the processes and procedures you already have in place, review your organizational structure, identify your environmental influences (both internal and external), and identify your key suppliers and customers. We then analyze your workplace, including your office layout, your workspace configuration, or any equipment, tools, hardware, and software that you currently use. At the same time, we benchmark other high performing businesses and organizations to see what they look like and what they're doing and compare that against your business.
This in-depth analysis enables us to identify the gaps between where you are and where you want to be across all levels of your organization. We understand, though, that our analysis can't stop here. We know that designing solutions to just close those gaps is not enough. To really help you get to your desired level of performance, we identify the root causes for why those gaps exist in the first place. Determining the root causes enables us to identify the most cost-effective and highest quality recommended set of solutions for helping you more effectively meet your mission, vision, and goals.
